Professional Summary

Jenny Maras is the Program Director for Teacher Recruitment and Retention at Minnesota CTE (MN CTE) and Lakes Country Service Cooperative (LCSC) in Fergus Falls. Jenny coordinates LCSC’s statewide CTE Grow Your Own program for teacher recruitment and retention. Maras has more than 25 years of previous experience in teacher education and research at Minnesota State University – Moorhead and as a high school business and communications technology teacher, work-based learning coordinator, and BPA Advisor at Morris and Willmar. She was the 2023 National Rural Teacher of the Year winner (National Rural Educator’s Association) and the 2022 Minnesota Educator of Excellence winner (Minnesota Rural Educator’s Association). Maras is also an adjunct professor of business at Concordia College – Moorhead.
