Professional Summary

Troy Haugen currently serves as the Director of Career and College Readiness at Minnesota CTE (MN CTE) and Lakes Country Service Cooperative (LCSC) in Fergus Falls. In these roles, Troy administers the Carl Perkins grant for 26 school districts in west central Minnesota and coordinates the efforts of a collaborative of eight school districts, five county agencies, the community action agency, and multiple heath care and other nonprofits as they work to create an equitable, seamless web of services for our families. Troy is a licensed teacher, school principal and superintendent with more than 20 years of experience in education. Troy also serves as an adjunct instructor of graduate education at Minnesota State University. He has a special interest in teacher licensure, alternative pathways to licensure, education policy, rural education and equity in education. Troy, his wife Tiffany, and four children (daughters Ella and Grace and twin sons Evan and Benjamin) live near Rollag on the farm that has been in his family for four generations.
